Uber & Bolt Drivers

If you drive for Uber, Bolt or another private-hire app, a non-fault accident doesn’t just damage your car. It stops your income.

We help private-hire drivers in London deal with everything that follows: recovery, a suitable licensed replacement where appropriate, repairs and the losses you can claim from the at-fault driver’s insurer.

Back on the road, back on the app

To keep working, you need more than a courtesy car. The replacement has to be licensed for private hire, insured for hire and reward, and suitable for the apps you drive for.

Where you have a reasonable need for a replacement, we work with specialist providers to source an appropriately licensed PCO vehicle, subject to eligibility, licensing requirements and availability. You’ll normally need to add the replacement to your driver account before you can take trips.

If you have an accident while working

  • make sure everyone is safe, and call 999 if anyone is hurt or the road is blocked;
  • exchange names, addresses and insurance details with the other driver, and note any witnesses;
  • take photos of the scene, the vehicles and the damage, and keep any dashcam footage;
  • if you had a passenger, check they’re safe before they leave;
  • report the accident to the app and to your own insurer, as your policy requires;
  • call or WhatsApp us, and we’ll take it from there.

If you couldn’t exchange details at the scene, you must report the accident to the police as soon as possible, and within 24 hours.

We aim to source a PCO-licensed vehicle that meets your needs and the requirements of the platforms you use. Tell us which apps you drive for, and your licensing details, when you get in touch so we can check what’s suitable.
Yes. If the accident wasn’t your fault, lost earnings can form part of your claim. Your weekly earnings statements from the app are usually the best evidence.
You should tell your insurer about the accident, as your policy requires. Where the other driver was at fault, we claim your losses from their insurer rather than through your own policy.
If you were hurt, you may also have a personal injury claim. Our team handles everything for you.
